Not because the world becomes perfect all at once.
But because your heart changes. Your soul changes. Your way of seeing, loving, forgiving, walking, and living changes.
Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is within us. And He taught us to pray: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
So maybe the real choice is not only after death.
It is already here.
One path brings you closer to God, to peace, to truth, to forgiveness, to light, and to eternal life.
The other path, the path of lies, pride, hate, lust, and evil, moves your soul away from Heaven and locks you in darkness.
That is why Jesus is so important.
He is not only a prophet.
He is not only a spiritual teacher.
He is not only an idea.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
He is risen. The tomb is empty. His bones are not there, because death could not hold Him.
Jesus Christ of Nazareth is God come in the flesh, the King of kings, and the door that brings us back to the Father.
When you truly live by Him, Heaven begins to touch the Earth.
And when you choose evil, you begin to move yourself away from Heaven.
